Grange Insurance Association Awards over $35,000 to 2017 Scholarship Recipients

Since 1965, the Grange Insurance Association Scholarship Fund has been supporting the academic and vocational pursuits of young adults across the West. When our scholarship program first began, back in 1965, we were only able to offer a few hundred dollars in scholarships. This year, we are proud to be able to award over $35,000 to 27 students across California, Colorado, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. Here’s a little more about a few of our winners:

Our top academic winner is Taylor Peterson from Connell, Washington. Taylor was awarded the Charles F. Keiser Memorial Scholarship and received $2,500 to the college of her choice. The Peterson family is insured with Neilsen Insurance Agency of Colfax, WA.

Another of our 2017 academic winners is Kelsey Toyoda from Pasco, Washington. Kelsey received the Duane Shipman Memorial Scholarship and was awarded $2,500 to her desired college. The Toyoda family is insured with Walla Walla Insurance Agency of Walla Walla, WA.

Grange Insurance Association also offers several vocational scholarships each year. Kathleen Levien from Lynden, Washington was our top vocational scholarship winner and was awarded $2,500 towards the vocational school of her choice. The Levien family is insured with Oltman Insurance Agency of Lynden, WA.

A huge congratulations to each and every one of our academic and vocational scholarship winners. We can’t wait to see the great things you achieve in your collegiate careers!
